Care instructions for royal blue canvas
In order to preserve the beauty and durability of your hand-embroidered canvas, it is essential to follow a few simple maintenance rules. Here are our recommendations:
1. Hand wash recommended
- Prefer gentle hand washing to avoid damaging the cotton threads. Use lukewarm water and a mild detergent, ideally a neutral soap.
- Do not rub embroidered designs as this may alter their shape or colour.
2. No machine washing
- Machine washing may cause excessive friction, which may distort or damage the embroidery. Therefore, avoid the machine cycle, even at low temperatures.
3. Natural drying
- Air dry , preferably in the shade to prevent the colours from fading in the sun.
- Avoid tumble drying , which could distort the cotton and damage the embroidery.
4. Delicate ironing
- If necessary, iron the canvas at a moderate temperature, always inside out to protect the embroidery. Use a protective fabric (such as a clean cloth) to avoid direct contact between the iron and the embroidered threads.
5. Avoid harsh chemicals
- Never use bleach or chemical cleaners that can alter the colors and natural texture of the canvas.
6. Storage
- When not in use, store your canvas in a dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the colors from fading. To avoid creasing, roll it gently or place it in a fabric cover.
Following these tips will ensure that your embroidered canvas retains its vibrancy and beauty for many years.
